If you tend to fall for Facebook posts like “Lose 18 pounds now!” or “WTF I can’t believe this picture of you is online!” I can’t help you. But if you’d like to secure your Facebook sessions from hackers and spies, you’re in luck.

facebook secure accountFacebook is introduting a new long-awaited security feature to enables HTTPS encryption through out your Facebook session. This feature encrypts incoming and outgoing data during Facebook sessions. It is developed to prevent attacks from attackers and to prevent them from compromising users accounts.

As of now, the only way to enable HTTPS secure browsing was to enter ‘s’ after the http, or you can install an add-on like HTTPS Everywhere. Any option can be used, but if you acess Facebook from your office, school, home or many other locations, then I recommend to enable this new Facebook security feature.

HTTP security feature might not be available to you now, it is being made available to Facebook slowly, it should appear soon.
